An Echocardiography Assistant supports cardiologists and sonographers in performing cardiac imaging procedures. Their duties include preparing patients for the test, explaining the procedure, positioning them correctly, and ensuring comfort throughout the examination. They assist in handling and maintaining echocardiography equipment, managing patient records, and ensuring accurate data entry. Assistants also help monitor patients during procedures, follow hygiene and safety standards, and prepare reports for the supervising physician’s review. With a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and imaging techniques, they play a vital role in facilitating precise diagnosis and effective cardiac care.
